well i spent the weekend in idaho, my grandfathers funeral was saturday. i feel like writing something about it but i'm not sure what exactly i want to say. i guess the three main things that stick out are 1.how much my grandfathers body looked like an empty shell when i was viewing it just laying in the casket. 2.my father who being the oldest and now the patriarch of the family is going extreamlly white, he is still a couple of years from his face showing his age but his hair is holding nothing back. 3.standing at the gravesite, it was 20 degrees and windy and in every direction all you could see stretching to the horizon was empty land covered in deep snow. i had some feelings at all those moments, now i'm not sure what they where/are or what i really want to say about them. |
