...as long as my application does not get freakishly lost in the holiday mail, the apartment is mine! well the room in the apartment actually. it was the second person i contacted too. his current room mate is moving out of their 2 bed 1 bath leaving the bigger of the two rooms as the open one for me, hell yes!
has everyone been keeping up with the news? if not you still have probly heard a little something about Kent Lott lately and his comments at Strom Thurmonds birthday. This is how I see it, the man (Lott) was humoring a man who was turning 100 years old. How many people live to be 100? much less how many of them continue to be elected into office? What he said may have been insensitive to some and he has apologised many times over, but in my opinion everyone is makeing to big a deal about this and missing an increadibly important point. Which is this, it is wrong for someone to hummor an old man and say he could of done good as president if his presidential campain was something unfavorable like segregation, but for someone who has actually ran for president on a pro segregation platform it is perfectly alright with everyone for them to stay in office for the 54 years following thier failed segregation campain for the presidency... |
