Other points of interest from this past weekend, beyond the previous story about the deer. Stopped for dinner in Reno, hit the buffet at Harrah's or what ever is right across the street from Silver Legacy. Then spent twenty minutes at a five dollor black jack table. Had a fantastic dealer, very nice and personable. Left with dinner covered and thirty two fifty extra in my pocket, at the next truck stop i bought a straw cowboy hat and a temporary tatoo. ditched the boys and spent an evening with my brother his wife and a few of her girlfriends. actually got a semi decent nights sleep. the only good sleep of the trip. got some good pictures of a whole lot of things, group shots, people using the urinals, pete with some homeless punk kids, every black person we saw in salt lake (14 of them). there was plenty of rest stop antics, barricading buster in the restroom with the van, pedro puking his twenty piece mcknugget back up with a mighty force. and a relatively quiet drive home. aside from the ice over donnor, lying to chp to avoid bying chains and taking the pass at 30 the whole way it was a nice drive threw the night. all in all it was a very good weekend. long as it was, a very good time had by all. |
