dude, driving to Kansas City and back just for a show, totally worth it.

i just want to take this time to state that i have a new found distaste for the great state of Kansas...lucky for me our hotel and the show was is K.C. Mo, not K.C. Ks.

modest mouse played earlier on the bill than i thought they where going to, but they still rocked hard, issac was soo terribly cool, he would just go off with the locals yelling like he was so increadibly pissed off about everything.

and half way threw thier set it started raining (at the unlimited sunshine tour, ha ha, it's funny) lightly which actually opened the crowd up more so i wasn't the only one singing along and dancing and totally into it. but they played about a 30 minute set and that sucked. oh well it was still totally cool.

ok so i thought that cake was headlining, which is alright, cake has some cool stuff and good energy, but they played after delasoul and announced that the lips where playing after them, very cool.

so the flaming lips where i guess having stage problems getting all their disco balls and giant screen and a/v equipment to work, but finally after waiting for fourty five minutes they started their show.

i do believe i called it:they rocked my socks, hardcore.

the costumes and the confetti and the balloons and the video's.... oh the video's i want to tell you all about them, but if you are going to go to the show(and i suggest you all do) i don't want to ruin them, lets just say i am willing to be you a taco that they get a ton of comlaint letters from angry mothers, especially over the Yoshimi video.

of course i thought that video was the highlight, but i'm just messed up like that.

they had such a cool energy and fake blood and a mic cam and prerecorded video clips of their drummer drumming with the song they where playing and it was actually in time with what the drummer was actually playing on stage, and and and... just oh my gosh, i want to see it again.
