The Gloria Record played saturday night.
the opening bands where all good in their own respective areas of that field which is rock and roll.
but gloria played last.

so after all day working short staffed, and an evening of chatting with friends i hadn't seen in a while TGR goes on stage.
i spent the next hour with my mouth slightly open in a wide smile, and my toes curled up in my shoes.
they played new stuff.
they played old stuff.
they just played,
it was as beautiful as always,
they closed with I Was Born In Omaha, which Simpson announced before they started (and mind you i had been waiting all night to hear it) i clapped in recognition and made the realisation that i was infact the only one in the room (aside from the band) that was familiar with the song, because i was the only one to make any sort of noise...
i felt cool.

i have noticed something, this year i have bought a whole bunch of absolutly fantastic albums, mind you very few of said albums where actually released this past year,
ex: the newest Nada Surf album which i think is increadible, (nada surf- not just popular anymore...ok so that was a bad joke, and i apologize)
