In todays(reads the past five days) email was a message stating that i had just been kissed, attached was a link to an ugly childface pucking...puckering...you know in my direction, it was even cheesily animated.
it was, if i may say so, something that most girls, being the way they are, would think to be quite cute. or if i where a fourteen year old boy might forward it on to a girl i could have a crush on...
but seeing as neither of the above are true statments to discribe me currently, it was not on the high end of the ammusing scale for me.
but it did get me to thinking, this is what i thought. sure all the "cute" crap like that makes for endless hours of time killing via email, but what i would really like to see is something using the same format, but instead of tag and waterballoon fights i would like to find a site full of email links that when open have a picture of a guy waving a fist in the air yelling some unfriendly banter like "sod off you watery tart!" or a picture with a bunch of people turning their noses up and the attached message reads "you have just been shunned by all society as a whole" or something animated that is along the lines of a phone reciever and text that reads "your mom called, she hates you!"*
maybe i'm just that big of an asshole, maybe i'm too mean(it has been a year+ since i've been told i'm too nice, i've ajusted just fine) but if you are going to have one end of the spectrum of cute friendly email link crap you should have the other end, stuff to really bring some anonymous person down via email.
just a though i had.
something else i thought of, and more people out there might like this idea more than the above, is something i thought of a week and a half ago(there about anyway) while chatting breifly with jeff. IM has premade faces for added chat value, you can make faces to show what ever kind of emotion in most appropriate to any given conversation to show that not only are you really paying attention but that you really care...
i'm not saying this is a bad thing, i just think they could add on to this a bit, what i had in mind is a series of hand gestures to corrispond when faces will not do. like if your chatting and someone says something or has an idea that is totally rad, gee whats the best you got a big grinning yellow dumb face when you really need a hand shooting the rock and-or roll horns. or a simple thumbs up would be nice, and of course, for those moments when you just are to lasy to chat with someone and don't want to make up stories to blow them off, you should be able to just give em' the finger.
*there is a really funny story behind this, and i could of sworn i took the time to tell said story here in an entry, but i looked and looked threw my archives and could not find it. if i did indeed make an entry about it could someone please drop me a line and let me know?
