went to the bright eyes show last night at the engine room. the engine room has a side room with two pools tables and a dozen arcades and a pin ball machine. and mind you the arcades aren't your regular one dollar a play crap you have at your local mall, these arcades are old skool. i'm talking centipede, and klax, and mrs.pacman and asteroid...which i now hold the 2nd, 3rd, and 8th top scores on...oh yeah. the show was all in all rather good, if not really good. the opening band was by the name of the Bruces with Conor Oberst on bass, followed by a gentleman by the name of Matt...(something) and he had a rotating line up of backing instrumentation from various members of bright eyes. and then the bright eyes portion with as many as fourteen musicians on stage at any given time playing any given instrument and then switching, not to mention the girl from the good life was with the band of course she was wearing a tie with a non collared shirt so she is still my least favorite member of the band.
on a side note, everyone knows about the Beck show with the Flaming Lips2 right? well if not your loss, cause i got my ticket. well me and my girlfriend got our tickets i should say |
